It had been a week since Ben had taken Serenity out for a dinner date. He had wanted every day to contact her after she just walked away from him after kissing him in the park. He had followed her once from the restaurant but when she walked away a second time, he didn't think following her would have been worth it.
Now the male regretted not following her. He sat on the beach, a few girls around him in very small bikini's. However, he didn't engage in conversations with him. Instead, he kept checking his phone for a call or text from Serenity. His phone remained silent. One of the girls, who called herself Honey, moved closer and sat directly next to Ben, her hip touching his.
"What's the matter handsome?" she asked, stroking a finger down Ben's bare chest. The male grinned as he looked over to Honey. "I know you want me but there's others around. Gonna have to wait until I'm done tanning," the male spoke with that arrogance about him. Honey gave a giggle then leaned in to kiss Ben's shoulder seductively before getting up to join the other girls in a volleyball match.
Ben laid back on his towel, first onto his elbows then down onto his back. His abs were getting warm so he slowly rotated his body so that his back was exposed to the sun instead. He rested his head on his arms and began to drift off into sleep.

It had been about a week since Dylan had talked or even seen Ben; though, in a way, she was thankful for that. It meant that she wouldn't have to explain the kids she had given to him and she wouldn't get the chance to ask why he hadn't followed her that night.
Deciding to spend the day at the beach with her sister, Dylan made sure that everything was packed and ready to go. As soon as it was, the girls set off on their beach adventure.
Once the pair had made it to the beach, Dylan went to set up a spot in the sand for them, while Drew had gone to get them some ice cream and a bottle of soda each. As Dylan walked around the beach, she tried looking for a spot on the sand that hadn't been occupied yet, but was failing miserably. There were so many people there already and spots were limited. But the one spot that Dylan did find to put her things down at, she found a flaw.
Ben.
He was in the spot right next to the open gap. As much add Dylan wanted to just keep searching for a different spot, she knew that it was a hopeless cause. laying the blanket out on the sand, her phone started ringing. Pulling the device out of her pocket, Dylan saw that it was her sister, probably trying to find her now. "I'm near the green lifeguard tower," Dylan spoke. "And don't forget to put my ice cream in s Biel, Drew. You know that I don't like being sticky and dirty and gross," the petite blonde spoke, hanging up her phone and stripping down to her bright red bikini.

Ben woke up slightly when he heard a phone ring next to him. Sleepily, he reached over to where his phone was and tried to read it in the sunlight. He reached more and found his sunglasses and quickly placed them on his face. Still on his stomach, Ben propped himself up on his elbows just as he was able to finally read his screen. Nothing. It was then that the ringing stopped a female voice began to speak next to him.
It didn't take Ben more than a second to realize who was talking on the phone next to him. Serenity. Her voice had been stuck in his head since that night a week ago. What she had said had even stuck with him. This was a completely new experience for Ben. Usually a girl's voice would stick with him if it was annoying but he'd never remember what she'd actually said.
His eyes avoided looking at her as he turned himself over, phone still in hand. He held his phone as he sat up and looked out the corner of his eye at Serenity just as she stripped down to her bikini. The male chewed on his lower lip. She was hot and that was for sure but things were so awkward between them now. He had actually developed feelings for her again but she had lost her feelings for him because of the way he had acted at the beginning of dinner.
The male opened his texting application on his phone and sent a one word text to Serenity. He figured that she'd have seen him by now, but why she chose the spot next to him, he didn't know. "Hi" was the one word that Ben typed then hit the send button. He coughed a bit to clear his throat just before Honey came back over to him. She excitedly jumped, making certain parts of her body bounce. Apparently her team had won. Ben looked up at her and grinned widely.
He grabbed her legs right above the knees and pulled her down so she was kneeling between his legs. She giggled more as his lips touched her neck lightly. The other girls came around and sat on the towels that surrounded Ben. It was as though they knew to make wall when Ben wanted to get busy. Another girl, who went by Rissa, came over to pull Honey off of Ben. Ben smacked Honey's butt before she walked away and simply called to them as they walked off.
"You're gonna be in trouble for taking her from me Rissa!" and the girls simply giggled as they began touching each other. A group of guys went and surrounded them, cheering them on as Ben looked over at Serenity without actually turning his head directly towards her, waiting for her response.

As Dylan sat on the towel, she heard her phone go off again. This time, it signaled an incoming text message. Opening up her phone to read it, Dylan noticed that it was from Ben. She read it and was about to respond to him, saying that she didn't like not talking to him, but when a female had come up to him and his lips were placed upon the stranger's neck, Dylan's response changed. She deleted what she had written in the message and retyped a new one.
"Goodbye."
As soon as she sent the message, the girl stood up and walked away from the male. She was aggravated that he still hadn't changed his ways, but in another sense, she couldn't blame him. He was probably so set in his new ways that he didn't know how to change himself, even if he had wanted to.
Although, Dylan felt a surge of jealousy when the same girl that had ran off to be a hoe with a few other guys had gone back to Ben since she had stood up, she knew that she had to go back. Walking swiftly over to the girl, Dylan grabbed her by the front of her neck and looked at her with glaring eyes. "Come near him again, and my grip will only get stronger," she said in such a stern and vicious tone.

Ben heard his phone vibrate then beep which told him that he had a new text. He figured it was from Serenity and as soon as the male unlocked his phone, he saw that it was from her. A grin appeared, expecting a smart ass remark from her about just talking to her rather than texting her but instead it was one word. Goodbye.
Ben started to send a remark back to her but she got up and walked in front of him. It distracted him enough that he watched as she made her way over to Honey and put her hands around Honey's neck. Ben's eyes immediately got wide. He dropped his phone on the towel and got up quickly to run over to Serenity.
The taller male grabbed Serenity's arms and pulled her away from Honey. "Serenity, stop it," he said simply as he pulled her away back to where their towels were. He sat down and pulled her down on his lap, still holding onto her. Though now he held onto her waist rather than her arms. Ben looked to her and even if she tried to move, he just held her in place. "What got into you over there?" he asked sternly.

Just as Dylan was about to release her grip on the girl's neck, she felt someone tugging her arms back to release her hand. "Let go of me, Ben," Dylan said, furiously. She had never acted like this before, but she knew why she was.
Jealousy.
Dylan would have been lying if she had said that she wasn't a little jealous of the girls that rotated in and out of Ben's lap, but she didn't like as to how many females there were.
When Ben ushered her over to his towel on the beach, he pulled her onto his lap and just held onto her. It was then that he had asked her what had gotten into herself to make her act like she had.
Thinking for a moment, Dylan looked to Ben and spoke a simple response.
"You."
Not being able to get out of the male's grip, Dylan just laid into his hold. "I guess I haven't gotten over you," she said. "I don't really like when dirty hoes move in on my territory," Dylan spoke. "And even though we're not dating or anything, I just don't like seeing them all over you. It's kind of like a slap in the face," she explained further.
"But don't worry, I'm going back to school at the end of the summer. You can party hard with your little hoes again," Dylan said.
"Now, seriously, Ben. Let go of me," she said. "I've had enough of fighting my feelings for you today and I just want to go home," Dylan said, trying to stand up again.

Ben ignored when Serenity told him to let her go. When they were seated on his towel though, he didn't ignore her response for what had gotten into her. She told him it was him. He raised one eyebrow suspiciously. "Me?" he asked simply before the blond in his lap continued to talk.
Hearing what she said about not being over and not liking when other girls stepped in on her territory, Ben grinned a bit. He knew why she had kissed him nearly a week ago. It was because she still definitely had feelings for him. She had been so sure that the new him wasn't what she wanted and yet today, she had acted out of pure jealousy.
Ben let her continue speaking but he didn't like what she had to say next. She was lying through her teeth and Ben could see it in her eyes that she didn't really want him to go back to his hoes. Ben didn't want a relationship, or at least call it that just yet, but if being with Serenity exclusively was what would make her stop choking out other girls, then maybe Ben could give it a try. Besides, she was more interesting and playful than any girl he had been with.
When she told him to let her go again, he relaxed his arms and sat back on his hands. "Go," he said simply. After a moment of pausing, he spoke again. "If you leave, you'll lose every chance you had at me," he told her as she moved to stand up. Ben then just sat and watched her from under his sunglasses.

When Ben reacted to him being the reason behind her actions, Dylan just looked to him. "Don't act like you didn't know that already, Ben," the female spoke. It was true that she didn't like what the male had turned into, which was why it killed her to still have feelings for him. It couldn't have been simple for her, could it have been? Of course not; it never was. It was often that Dylan wished that she would just be able to turn her emotions on and off like you could a light switch.
When the male let go of her finally, Dylan looked at him and felt her eyes get warm and start to glisten. "I never had a chance with you, Ben," she spoke, standing up. "Maybe years ago I would have, but now, you're on the hoe track," she said. "I can't change that about you," Dylan said, walking over to her blanket and sitting down on it. As the female sat there, she looked out to the ocean and wiped away a few tears occasionally.
Grabbing for her phone, Dylan opened it and texted her sister, telling her that she was sort of in a bad mood and that if they could hang out later on. Dylan just wanted to be by herself to think about things.

Ben watched Serenity's face as her eyes began to glisten with tears. She was seriously not over him and now it was starting to hurt. When she told him that years ago she would have had a chance with him, but now she didn't, Ben felt his heart ache again. What were these feelings for her that kept popping up? Ben didn't want them but there was no denying them.
The hurt in her voice made him feel like a little kid who had disappointed their mother. He watched her get up and walk over to her own towel. She didn't actually leave. She just didn't want to be that close to him. He turned his body and scooted himself closer to her. He got up and crawled to be in front of her. He looked in her eyes and saw that she was crying. He somehow felt that he had to prove that she did have a chance with him.
Leaning in without saying a word, Ben put his hands on her face as he sat on his knees. He moved in rather quickly before Serenity could protest. His lips pressed against hers but this time, it wasn't a swift little peck like what she had given him. This was a real kiss. One that the male let happen for as long as she felt comfortable with.

Once Dylan had sat on her own blanket, she kept her focus on the ocean and the many people in it. Though, her focus shifted when her eyes were blocked by Ben moving in front of her. When he had, Dylan looked away from his eyes and looked down at the blanket instead. Though, she was a little put off when the male put his hands on her face and kissed her.
It seemed like forever before their lips parted, though when they did, it took Dylan a second to recollect herself. A few seconds later, the female brought her eyes up to look at the male, then her attitude changed, yet again.
Smacking her hands against the male's chest, Dylan looked at his square in his eyes. "Why would you go and do something like kiss me for? You and I both know that this isn't going to amount to anything. You're not ready to commit to anyone but yourself," she said, the tears flowing from her eyes again. Unfortunately, Dylan knew that Benjamin wasn't going to go anywhere except south. Ben was more focused on being a rich kid and catching up on all the advantages that he had missed out on before he inherited his money, as well as the females that only wanted to get in his bed to try and get a nice penny out of his pocket.
Dylan, for once, was ready to settle into a relationship after never actually being in one.
